The Atlantic-a brand with 150+-year heritage of outstanding writing and design is seeking an innovative thinker with a strong visual and creative background to help develop and maintain the visual identity of the brand’s marketing. Reporting to the Director, Marketing position, the role’s responsibilities include:

· Design of sales and marketing collateral including advertising and presentation materials, signage, event collateral, premiums, etc. that result in meeting The Atlantic’s revenue goals

· Develop and design quality custom creative, advertising sections and house ads

· Work with Director, Marketing to create materials that bring ideas to life and help sell advertising programs and concepts

· Serve as a source for creative inspiration and ideas for sales and marketing materials

· Ability to work with printers and outside vendors including photographers, photo stock agencies, etc.

· Estimate work schedules/budgets, oversee project progress and ensure that deadlines are met

Qualifications

· Minimum BA/BFA in design, graphic design, advertising, communication, or similar discipline

· Minimum 3-5 years design experience

· Knowledge in CS Design Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design

· Proficient in PowerPoint (For MAC and PC)

· Strong organizational skills, ability work effectively under deadlines and manage concurrent projects

· Excellent time manager and team player, who can work collaboratively to meet creative and business objectives

· Knowledge in HTML and Flash a plus
