The Custom Publishing Department at Rodale is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join their team in our New York City location.

Responsibilities will include:
•Support content development of marketing and sales materials for Rodale Custom Publishing new business development oSupport customized general, new Ppt. presentations, including specific sections or slide preparation - as assigned oCollaborate with senior staff members to write, edit narrative rfp responses, including research and positioning of RCP “story” oUpdate RCP electronic Collateral, Case Studies in Word and Ppt.; write new Case Studies as needed oAccess market research sources such as the Rodale Library, Compass, PIB, MRI, etc., to help build rationale - as assigned
•Manage organization, delivery of all new business-related materials, including: oPackage materials as follow up to phone/mail inquiries oManage presentation prep: including Ppt. and or Word presentations, through print and collation; relevant RCP and Rodale materials, etc. oManage external resources, as needed, for production of presentations oCollate materials for new business meetings (collateral, samples, etc.), presentations; including prep for postal delivery when required oMaintain digital library of presentations, images and logos used for presentations oManage Media Room – organization and functionality (with assistance of current and new department assistants) (Media Room includes RCP marketing materials, samples of current custom pubs, and all sales support materials for ad-driven custom pub titles – You24, llb, Wal-mart)

•Execute marketing/promotion art needs as required, including: oDesign and create templates for all Ppt. presentations, including ability to download and work with images, logos, etc.; ability to crop, sharpen, manipulate images and logos oDesign and create charts for ppt. slides and Word documents oMay need to assist with creative (editorial) materials for major pitches, presentations

•Support work with advertising agency and outside vendors to create: oSupport development of print-based and electronic sales collateral (media kit) material, including website, folder, brochure, business cards, etc. oMonitor web site on a quarterly basis to update in a timely fashion

•Promotion/publicity oManage materials preparation for at least two major award competitions annually – coordinating and assembling entries among business, design and editorial staffers

•Events oSupport execution/management of Rodale Custom internal/external meetings, as needed

•Limited admin support; includes marketing expense processing; departmental needs, such as ordering supplies, booking conference rooms, FedEx, catering orders, etc,

Education oCollege degree – marketing or communications preferred

Experience oMinimum 1-2 years experience in magazine marketing department or agency account work

Specific knowledge oBasic understanding/demonstrated skills of presentation copy writing, and promotion copy and design oKnowledge of syndicated research (MRI) and competitive research resources (PIB, SRDS) oExperience in developing sales collateral or other sales support materials oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills oExpert knowledge of Word, Ppt., Excel
