Metro Traffic, a Westwood One company is the nation’s largest supplier of traffic and information programming to the broadcast industry. Our product airs in 100+ markets on 2,400+ radio stations. We sell embedded sponsorships within our traffic and information on a market-by-market basis. Our Sales Planning department manages and prices our entire commercial advertising inventory. The Traffic Manager is a problem-solving, solution-focused member of an integrated team process. Candidate must be able to work effectively with a wide range of colleagues having different work styles. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. This position is based in Houston and reports directly to the V.P. of Traffic

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and manage a team of 15
Oversee contract entry, continuity and scheduling functions
Monitor scheduling, exception reports and work with Operations to recover lost revenue
Research contract data entry, scheduling, and copy issues as needed
Assist Sales Dept and I.T. Dept. to diagnose schedule delivery issues.
UAT (User Acceptance Testing) of new system related enhancements for the Traffic Department
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5+ years broadcast industry experience
2+ years management experience
Superior attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple, concurrent deadlines
Highly computer proficient with strong excel skills and ability to quickly learn new software programs
High working knowledge of broadcast traffic systems
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills
Ideally experienced in managing multiple networks, stations and markets
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
College Degree
