Senior Acquisitions Editor

International publisher of journals, electronic media, and books seeks a
Senior Acquisitions Editor to manage journal presence in social science,
behavioral science, and educational psychology disciplines. This person will
manage a staff, and be responsible for signing new society journals,
developing existing journals, purchasing and launching journals.

Qualifications & Education:
? The ideal candidate will have experience managing staff and
acquiring, managing, and launching journals.
? Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of related experience in academic
publishing
? Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.
? Ability to build and maintain successful business relationships.
? Must be proficient with software, including: Microsoft Outlook,
Word, and Excel.
? Travel up to 25% of work time.
? Ability to negotiate contracts
? Must be able to work in a changing environment.
