Merchandising Assistant – based in Northern New Jersey June 23, 2009
Seeking bright, enthusiastic, hard-working and creative candidates with an eye for merchandising to join our team.
Responsibilities Include:
Item / vendor set-up and maintenance
Manage New Item spreadsheet; print all weekly departmental reports; arrange line review process
Schedule, update and produce content product detail pages and genre pages.
Liaise with key vendors (collect all new item sheets, set-up appointments, request line reviews, etc.)
Partner with customer service to resolve product description issues and update the website
Optimize and resize product images for placement on the website
Help with numerous marketing and email efforts, schedule product lists, analyze site promotions and make recommendations on marketing plans
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be career oriented with a goal of becoming a category manager. He/she will be driven, passionate, flexible, results oriented and possess excellent attention to detail. He /she should be a strong writer and communicator. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are a must. He/she should be comfortable taking initiative, should be able to prioritize and multi-task. In addition, the candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly demanding and often ambiguous environment. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word required. Image editing experience a plus (Photoshop, Fireworks). Recent graduates welcome to apply.
