The Senior Marketing Specialist position will concentrate on writing and executing sales materials such as rate cards, success stories, e-mail blasts, monthly sales letters, etc., ensuring consistency and adherence to the magazine’s copy and proofreading standards, and writing informative, brand-correct descriptions.  The selected candidate will be an experienced magazine/newspaper ad marketer with strong, versatile business and copy writing skills.  Must have the keen ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Other responsibilities will include partnering with in-house designers to ensure art direction supports the material concepts, copyediting and proofreading collateral material and proposals, serving as the primary liaison between Editorial and Ad Sales, handling the overflow of comps, and coordinating material updates on the intranet and the B2B website.

The ideal Marketing Manager candidate is an independent strategic thinker who can handle high-level program development and account management. Exceptional creative writing skills are necessary in order to illuminate and concisely sell an idea conceptually and through program details. The manager must have a proven track record of providing and applying strategic analysis to proposals and marketing collateral using primary and syndicated research. This job is a mix of idea generation, creative writing of marketing programs, strategic development using research, and it requires at least 7-10 years magazine ad sales or marketing experience.

Primary responsibilities:
