Position Title: Marketing Manager, Home & Garden Media Group<\/p>\n

Job Description
\nThe ideal candidate will work effectively with our nationwide advertising sales staff to find solutions-based ways to grow brand recognition and revenue among advertisers. The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of the shelter and\/or men’s category and experience with traditional, digital and event marketing platforms.<\/p>\n
\u2022\tIdea generation and proposal writing for a variety of categories
\n\u2022\tConceive and develop new programs and partnerships
\n\u2022\tCoordinate and execute special projects, events and promotions in a timely and detailed manner
\n\u2022\tDevelop sell sheets and sales collateral to effectively communicate program concept, benefits and requirements
\n\u2022\tWork with members of the RDA US Affinities to explore cross-media advertising opportunities with other RDA properties
\n\u2022\tParticipate in sales calls to bring programs and ideas to life for advertisers
\n\u2022\tMaintain marketing tools and status reports
\n\u2022\tImplement and oversee junior staff members with regard to proposal creation and program details and execution <\/p>\n
Qualifications:
\n\u2022\tCreative writer with ability to correct, rewrite and revise one’s own work and the work of others to create a compelling and persuasive final product
\n\u2022\tStrong editing skills
\n\u2022\tKeen attention to detail
\n\u2022\tExtremely comfortable in a deadline oriented role
\n\u2022\tAbility to effectively communicate with the sales team and clients, as well as with managers and colleagues
\n\u2022\tFamiliarity and use of research (MRI, VISTA, etc), partnerships, promotions and more to effectively engage advertisers in a particular category
\n\u2022\tTeam player with a \u201ccan-do\u201d attitude
\n\u2022\tStrategic thinker with both energy and passion for the brand
\n\u2022\tAbility to work effectively with sales, marketing, clients, art, corporate and vendors in a collaborative way
\n\u2022\tRequires 3-5 years of magazine marketing or agency experience, knowledge of print research (MRI, MMR, etc.)
\n\u2022\tProficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and the Internet.
\n\u2022\tCandidates must have a balance of strategic and creative ability, strong interpersonal skills and a track record of formulating and implementing idea-selling initiatives.
\n\u2022\tSome travel and evening work required. <\/p>\n
