AFAR is seeking a talented junior professional who is eager to learn more about the publishing\/media industry and interested in sales and marketing.
\nJunior Sales Representative Responsibilities:
\n\u2022\tMaintain and grow the AFAR Exchange (Back of the book advertising section) by calling on small tour operators, travel products and other goods
\n\u2022\tManage relationships with current clients and potential clients
\n\u2022\tDrive revenue
\n\u2022\tOrganize marketing collateral, email marketing and other strategies to ensure constant contact with clients
\n\u2022\tProvide assistance to Sales Managers (i.e. Database entry, mailings, etc.)
\nJob Requirements
\n\u2022\t1-2 years experience in sales and marketing
\n\u2022\tHighly motivated, self-starter who is eager to learn
\n\u2022\tStrong phone and writing skills
\n\u2022\tMicrosoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
\n\u2022\tAbility to work in a team environment
\n\u2022\tExperience living abroad or extensive international travel<\/p>\n
