MAXIM is seeking college interns for Fall 2010. Candidates should be full-time students with a concentration in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Media, or Communications, but open to other concentrations. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and must be able to multi-task, with excellent communication skills.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
\n\u2022\tProviding overall administrative support for the marketing and\/or sales department
\n\u2022\tAttending brainstorming sessions to help come up with ideas to generate ad sales
\n\u2022\tAssisting with event projects: may include working local events (if any), guest lists, invitations, premiums and other sponsor activations
\n\u2022\tHandling outgoing\/incoming shipments and other advertiser-related mailing projects
\n\u2022\tFormatting presentations and\/or proposals on case-by-case basis
\n\u2022\tUpdating sell sheets and presentations with new research or other specified information
\n\u2022\tResearching potential marketing programs and promotional concepts
\n\u2022\tAssisting with sponsor sweepstakes and contests
\n\u2022\tAssisting the art department with presentation recaps, binding and creative mockups
\n\u2022\tWorking on other miscellaneous projects that may arise<\/p>\n
Requirements:
\n\u2022\tOpen to working five days a week (minimum 3-days a week)
\n\u2022\tStrong work ethic
\n\u2022\tStrong written and verbal communication skills; equally strong listening skills
\n\u2022\tCapable of working well autonomously
\n\u2022\tWork for academic credit only<\/p>\n
