Engaging this serious editorial tradition in the context of a rapidly expanding media enterprise, The Atlantic provides leading edge analysis of trendsetting contemporary issues, covering politics and foreign policy, business and the economy, culture and the arts, and science and technology.<\/p>\n<p>The Atlantic is currently seeking Marketing Coordinator who will support our fast-paced marketing team as we continue re-define The Atlantic\u2019s brand through an integrated campaign across our print and digital media channels. The Coordinator will gain a close, experiential, and dynamic window into the expansion of our well-regarded opinion and analysis into new media and markets as we fully integrate our marketing strategy. <\/p>\n<p>Additional Responsibilities Include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tContribute to writing and creation of marketing pieces, primarily the magazine\u2019s RFPs<br \/>\n\u2022\tInvolvement in all marketing materials including, but not limited to, media kits, sell sheets, reprints, select on-line content, brochures, logos, and other materials for special editorial\/events platforms<br \/>\n\u2022\tParticipate in staff meetings and complete follow-up activities and assignments.<br \/>\n\u2022\tWork closely with Marketing, Advertising Sales, Management, Production, and Events teams to create timely, creative and high impact sales materials<br \/>\n\u2022\tProvide administrative support to the marketing team including: assembling media kits and maintaining advertising databases; fielding incoming requests from prospective and current advertisers; filing, faxing and special projects as needed<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate Include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tOutstanding record of achievement in current\/past positions<br \/>\n\u2022\tStrong work ethic, persistence and tenacity<br \/>\n\u2022\tStrong analytics and real-time judgment<br \/>\n\u2022\tEffective time management and organization skills<br \/>\n\u2022\tCreative, out-of-the-box thinker with exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing<br \/>\n\u2022\tAbility to work closely with a variety of internal constituencies, as well as interface with clients and other external colleagues (e.g., vendors, agency contacts, etc.)<br \/>\n\u2022\tDemonstrated skill with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel<br \/>\n\u2022\tGraphic design and web design (basic HTML) skills and some familiarity with relevant design software a plus  (PhotoShop, DreamWeaver or InDesign, etc)<br \/>\n\u2022\tBachelor\u2019s degree<\/p>\n<p>The Atlantic Media Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.<\/p>\n<p>Please send applications to: zlucke@theatlantic.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Celebrating 150 years in print, The Atlantic\u2019s time-tested mission is to cover the conversation of the day with original insight and fresh perspective and to push the edge of inquiry toward tomorrow\u2019s concerns.
