A major young women’s magazine is\u00a0 seeking a Promotion and Event Coordinator to support a fast-paced marketing and sales team.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities Include:<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Develop custom proposals for multiple advertising categories that utilize all the capabilities of the brand<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Contribute ideas in group brainstorms – ability to work independently and within a team environment<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Execution of merchandising programs from start-to-finish including but not limited to: advertorials, sweepstakes, sampling, digital\/mobile programs, outdoor advertising, events, etc.<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Manage and execute client entertaining events from start to finish including but not limited to: location\/venue selection, theme\/concept development, invites\/material development, on-site management, guest list management, shipping etc.<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Manage and maintain promotional sell sheets, promotional e-blasts, e-newsletters and in-book promotional pages<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Select sales premiums and assist in creation of events and trade materials<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Develop and maintain relationships with third party vendors<\/p>\n
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate Include:<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 1-2 years marketing\/promotion experience at the assistant\/coordinator level\u00a0 preferably<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Must be a creative and strategic thinker<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Strong business and promotional copywriting skills<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Strong project management skills<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Ability to work well with sales and marketing staff, other internal departments, clients and outside vendors<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Extensive travel is required<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Must be highly organized with attention to detail<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment<\/p>\n
* \u00a0 Keep current on trends and news in fashion, beauty, fitness, tech, etc<\/p>\n
