Internship Program<\/p>\n
Reader\u2019s Digest Association (RDA) is committed to building the next<\/p>\n
generation of talent to help ensure the long-term success of our<\/p>\n
business. One key component to this is our internship program. RDA is<\/p>\n
an \u201cEmployer of Choice\u201d for early career talent by providing a robust,<\/p>\n
engaging and valuable business experience to students during their<\/p>\n
assignments.\u00a0 Through our internship program, RDA seeks high-potential<\/p>\n
students who are interested in pursuing career-building opportunities<\/p>\n
in a fast paced and competitive environment.\u00a0 Interns will be assigned<\/p>\n
to short-term projects that support key business initiatives in order<\/p>\n
to provide them with a relevant real-life career experience.\u00a0 Students<\/p>\n
will gain knowledge of and interact with business professionals,<\/p>\n
internal industry experts and senior executives throughout the summer.<\/p>\n
In addition, they will be exposed to RDA\u2019s global organization<\/p>\n
through formal orientation sessions and informal meetings.\u00a0 Interns<\/p>\n
who successfully complete the program are assessed for future<\/p>\n
full-time opportunities<\/p>\n
The RDA internship program is open to undergraduate students entering<\/p>\n
their junior or senior year.\u00a0 All internships will be for credit only.<\/p>\n
To be considered for this program, students will be asked to provide<\/p>\n
proper documentation from their school program.<\/p>\n
Position Description<\/p>\n
This internship is an excellent opportunity to apply Journalism or<\/p>\n
Communications backgrounds in a corporate environment. This intern<\/p>\n
will work on features, slideshows, and newsletters for the site (along<\/p>\n
with other production tasks).<\/p>\n
Required Skills<\/p>\n
Must be able to work under a high level of pressure within a fast<\/p>\n
paced environment.<\/p>\n
Be highly organized, detail oriented, and a self-starter able to set<\/p>\n
priorities and multi-task.<\/p>\n
Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with sales,<\/p>\n
marketing, freelancers under tight deadlines and pressure.<\/p>\n
Be computer literate. MAC experience preferred: Microsoft Word,<\/p>\n
PowerPoint, Excel required.<\/p>\n
Knowledge of CMS, Dreamweaver and other web-based systems<\/p>\n
Web-focused writing skills<\/p>\n
Print and web integration<\/p>\n
