It is published quarterly, under the larger umbrella of Bidoun Projects.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for an experienced advertising salesperson to oversee global advertising and business development for Bidoun.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain and expand advertising base.<br \/>\n\u2022 Research and identify opportunities for growth, and prospects for new business.<br \/>\n\u2022 Maximize revenue, while developing creative and strategic solutions for advertisers.<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct rate negotiations with clients, and lock in long-term advertising programs.<br \/>\n\u2022 Track advertising performance, and measure sales goals.<\/p>\n<p>Required Experience &amp; Skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree.<br \/>\n\u2022 1-3 years experience at a print publication or in a related role.<br \/>\n\u2022 A demonstrated understanding of media sales.<br \/>\n\u2022 The ability to work independently, and to think strategically about growing advertising for the magazine.<\/p>\n<p>Additional Skills<br \/>\n\u2022 A motivated self-driven individual with a positive, can-do attitude.<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with a friendly ability to engage and build relationships with prospective advertisers.<br \/>\n\u2022 The ability to work independently and on deadline.<br \/>\n\u2022 Fluency in Farsi or Arabic a plus but not required.<br \/>\n\u2022 Interest in Middle Eastern culture a plus.<\/p>\n<p>Please submit your resume along with a brief letter expressing your interest to: <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"jobs@bidoun.org\">jobs@bidoun.org<\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/span> <!--EndFragment--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bidoun is an award-winning independent magazine covering the arts &amp; culture of the Middle East and its Diaspora.
