We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Smithsonian\u2019s digital team as a paid intern. The Digital Marketing and Production Intern will help to drive audience and create new content products for the Smithsonian\u2019s Web sites.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Internship duties include:
\n*Work with the Audience\/Product Development team to research, write and produce content for new marketing initiatives and content offerings.<\/p>\n
*Assist with execution of marketing campaigns<\/p>\n
*Help with social media activities and outreach to journalists and bloggers.<\/p>\n
*Help with Search Engine Optimization keyword research and implementation.<\/p>\n
*Help with photo research and web production \u2013 i.e., build slideshows, upload articles, and swap out creatives.<\/p>\n
*Help research industry best practices and work with the Audience\/Product Development team to develop new ideas for content offerings.<\/p>\n
*Help with administration work in tracking invoices, etc.
\nSkills desired:
\n*Strong knowledge of and interest in the web and social media<\/p>\n
*Experience with Photoshop, HTML and a Web content management system or web publishing tools is preferred.
\n*Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to handle several projects at once under deadline
\n*Fluency in MS Office application
\n*Experience with web publishing tools
\n*Recent graduate with a Bachelors or Masters Degree in a related field of study
\nInternship Details:
\n*12 months in duration – candidates must be able to commit to a full year
\n*40 hours a week
