Job Description
\nO, The Oprah Magazine is seeking a Marketing Services Director. This position reports to the Associate Publisher, Marketing, and is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Integrated Marketing Director, Associate Integrated Marketing Director, Associate Integrated Marketing Manager, Marketing Assistant, and Research Strategist.
\nKey responsibilities include:
\n\u00b7 Development of innovative single-client and multi-sponsored marketing programs (may range from print-specific to multi-platform incorporating any combination of print, experiential, digital, or broadcast platforms)
\n\u00b7 Oversee execution of marketing programs
\n\u00b7 Oversee daily RFP workload
\n\u00b7 Edit\/approve proposals created by supervised staff; write proposals as-needed
\n\u00b7 Supervise Research Strategist
\n\u00b7 Initiate\/manage the creative development, packaging and execution of general\/client presentations, media kit, client\/category sales materials, issue promotions, program sell sheets, etc.
\n\u00b7 Work with AP\/Marketing on the creation and implementation of yearly marketing plan as well as development of key branding\/positioning initiatives
\n\u00b7 Assist in execution of annual signature event
\n\u00b7 Copy-edit and proof sales, marketing and promotional materials
\n\u00b7 Accompany sales team on calls
\n\u00b7 Manage marketing budget
\nRequired Skills
\n\u00b7 Strong supervisory skills (maximizing staff productivity and morale), with the ability to maintain personal productivity while managing staff
\n\u00b7 Exceptional copywriting\/editing skills across a range of styles from creative copywriting to formal business writing
\n\u00b7 Ability to communicate clearly and compellingly in both written and oral presentations
\n\u00b7 Fluency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint; conversant in new technology (especially social media)
\n\u00b7 Understands syndicated research
\n\u00b7 Extremely creative with a penchant for generating new ideas
\n\u00b7 Must work well under time pressures, be organized and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
\n\u00b7 A drive to innovate
\nRequired Experience
\n10+ years of related media experience-magazine-specifc experience a plus<\/p>\n
