The Senior Manager will develop sales, marketing and promotional strategies for PEOPLE StyleWatch and PEOPLEStyleWatch.com \u2013 collaborating with both the print and online sales teams for the Fashion and Retail categories. The position combines creative \u201cbig\u201d idea\/platform creation, partnership development, presentation skills and strong program execution.<\/p>\n
Primary Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u201cBig Idea\u201d generation: Conceptualize and develop both advertiser-specific and brand marketing proposals, such as in-book programs\/advertorials, online\/digital campaigns and customized events<\/p>\n
\u2022 Category development: Work with Associate Publisher of Marketing on development of category-specific strategies including competitive landscape\/sales opportunities<\/p>\n
\u2022 Presentation development and execution: Work with various departments (i.e. strategic research department, creative services and events) to create compelling proposals, presentations, marketing concepts and\/or positioning<\/p>\n
\u2022 Program management: Manage social media program and major category initiatives<\/p>\n
\u2022 Industry relationships: Work with vendors, production companies, studios, networks, labels and other partners on brand and advertiser initiatives<\/p>\n
\u2022 Entertainment: Work with major award show organizations (i.e. GRAMMY\/SAG), film festival sponsorships, music and film events<\/p>\n
\u2022 Client Meetings: Accompany sales reps on sales calls to present marketing platforms and client-specific opportunities<\/p>\n
\u2022 Program execution: Manage project budgets, timelines and executional elements and generate post-sale recaps\/case studies<\/p>\n
Qualifications:
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree required, minimum 8-9 years marketing experience, preferably in media\/advertising
\n\u2022 Knowledge of the Fashion\/Retail categories and relationships preferred
\n\u2022 Team player, self-starter who is also extremely innovative, professional and resourceful
\n\u2022 Ideal candidate must be highly proactive and solution-oriented<\/p>\n
