Responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

*\u00a0\u00a0 Providing integrated sales team with marketing knowledge and solutions\u00a0 for advertising clients in the noted ad categories: Credit Cards, Entertainment, Home\/Shelter, Spirits, Fashion
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Designated “go to” person for client specific print, digital and integrated RFPs, presentations (comprised of research, key sales points, specialized added value, third party marketing relationships, etc.) and marketing collateral in their assigned categories
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Develop 360 degree client-focused advertising\/marketing programs that draw from diverse resources
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Be a passionate advocate and an industry expert in the assigned categories
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Build relationships with third party resources for client focused added\u00a0 value programs which these categories require
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Enhance The Journal presence via industry specific partnerships and trade shows related to assigned categories
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Share success stories and best practices with the integrated sales and marketing teams and cross-pollinate with leaders of other categories
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Stay on top of digital trends, new technologies and tactics online, in mobile, tablet and social media<\/p>\n

Position Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

*\u00a0\u00a0 6-8+ years of sales development & marketing experience in a related industry – i.e. newspaper\/magazine publishing, online, planning department of media agency, etc.
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of print and online advertising sales, marketing, event and related research
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Strategic thinker and tireless innovator
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Creative mindset \u2013 an \u201cideas\u201d person, strong RFP and presentation development skills
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent public speaking and communication skills: written and verbal
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Project management \/ execution experience preferred
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Organizational skills with the ability to manage projects and programs
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Proactive team player with strong relationship builder
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Bachelor’s degree required<\/p>\n
