Fast Company, the most innovative business media brand, continues to expand in 2013, and we are seeking a creative and entrepreneurial team player to join our marketing team. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to conceptualize and write integrated merchandising programs to win new business, increase existing business, and help Fast Company reach its advertising revenue and paging goals. The position reports to the Associate Marketing Director.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
\n<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Work with sales reps to develop cross-media ideas to meet client objectives and grow advertising business;<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Translation of ideas into clear, concise, articulate and persuasive written proposals;<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Conceptualize \u201cbig idea\u201d cross-platform\/integrated proposals utilizing all the capabilities of the Fast Company brand (in-book, online, events, partnerships, etc.);<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Manage the fulfillment and execution of proposed\/sold concepts, including advertorials, custom digital programs, contests, events, build outs;<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Identify potential partners for marketing platforms to leverage business;<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Attend client sales calls to present concepts.<\/p>\n

Job requirements include:
\n<\/b><\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Bachelors\u2019 degree;<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Strong writing skills;<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Three to four years of magazine and\/or website marketing-related work (integration a plus!);<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Knowledge of merchandising, promotion, sales materials and events;<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Excellent oral communication;<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Strong interpersonal skills;<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Facility with Microsoft Office.<\/p>\n
