AARP Media Sales is a New York City-based multimedia advertising sales division ofAARP Services Inc., part of AARP, one of today’s most powerful brands with a membership of 38 million. AARP Media Sales’ mission is to generate revenue acrossAARP’s media properties through advertising and sponsorship sales primarily in AARP’s print, digital and emerging media channels. This is a full-time position with generous benefits.

Responsibilities

  •   Craft and product client-facing presentations and sales collateral
  •   Assist with category research/background and sales development
  •   Collaborate with marketing lead and research managers to develop account-specific sales advantages
  •   Communicate advertising solutions through written and visual formats based onclient’s goals across AARP’s Media properties
  •   Analyze and understand syndicated research and be able to package effectively in client-facing communications
  •   Manage, implement and track readers service programs (print and digital: Free Resources)
  •   Create, manage and maintain sales collateral aligned with certain accounts/categories/properties
  •   Interact with different departments within AARP Media Sales, including internal marketing department (research, creative services, content development, digital ad services) as well as internal salespeople and outside sales rep firmDesired Education, Competencies, Experience
  •   Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline and 3+years of major media advertising experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience in advertising media (print and media preferred).
  •   Understanding of print and digital media and metrics and knowledge of advertising.
  •   Must have the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  •   Ability to understand syndicated research (analytical/numbers aptitude) and able to communicate findings effectively through presentations and other formatted documents.
  •   Technologically savvy, with a high level of proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Power Point, Excel.
