In 2009 Health Magazine saw share gains in key advertising categories and turned in double-digit newsstand sales growth for the second year in a row. Health.com, a top 10 health information site, has seen explosive growth since its re-launch in 2008 and now extends the brand to over 7M monthly online users.
The Health Franchise is looking for a Marketing Senior Manager to oversee all planning, creation, and execution of integrated marketing platforms and initiatives designed to generate advertising revenue for Health Magazine and Health.com. The Senior Marketing Manager will work with our nationwide advertising sales staff to find solutions-based ways to grow brand recognition and revenue among advertisers.
Job Function:
• Answer RFPs for both Health Magazine and Health.com including custom ideas and content as well as standard print added value opportunities
• Serve as team point person for beauty and fashion category RFPs
• Main project manager for execution of Girls Night Out, Health’s signature event, and other Health-brand promotional events during the year
• Source event venues, negotiate contracts, logistical event planning, track and report results
• Assist in creating sell sheets and other marketing materials when needed
• Act as liaison between internal departments and vendors to develop and execute programs
• Work to grow category business and create programs for beauty and fashion categories
• Manage project budgets
• This position reports to Integrated Marketing Director
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years experience in magazine marketing and event planning/execution
• Expertise in event planning/execution
• Experience in marketing in the beauty and fashion categories
• In-depth understanding of print and digital-based marketing & sales development
• Understanding of syndicated and proprietary research (MRI, MMR, AdMeasure, @Plan)
• Copywriting and art direction for promotions inbook and online
• Balance of strategic and creative ability, strong interpersonal skills and a track record of formulating and implementing idea-selling initiatives
