An always stimulating and fun position for someone with a passion for style, fashion and beauty. Manage the primary research initiatives for InStyle Magazine, InStyle.com and StyleFind.com – working in close partnership with consumer marketing and editorial staffs for both print and digital products.

Key Responsibilities and Qualities Sought
1. Be the main day-to-day client contact for all primary consumer research for InStyle Magazine, InStyle.com and StyleFind.com, utilizing both traditional and innovative qualitative and quantitative research methods.
2. Manage objective setting, RFP development as needed, methodology and design, implementation, analysis and reporting/presentation of research projects.
3. Share research learning across clients at the brand.
4. Add value through proactively leveraging existing research along with broader Time Inc. research knowledge and consumer trend information. Contribute to the research knowledge base.
5. Oversee supplier performance on projects (e.g. costs, quality, timeliness), and participate in supplier selection.
6. Support departmental initiatives, and undertake special projects as directed by manager

Skills & Experience
Position requires strong consumer research and people skills. Candidate must have a proven ability to be a strategic partner with clients. Must have strong project management experience and excellent analytical capabilities. Strong communication skills are a must – clear, concise writing, engaging presentations and ability to build effective relationships with management is essential. Should have a solid understanding of Consumer Marketing and Editorial functions. This position requires an ability to handle many projects simultaneously – and – experience and/or an open-mindedness to think creatively and utilize innovative methods and approaches is essential. Solid computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are also needed.

It is expected that a Research Manager will usually have at least six years of research experience, involving extensive client contact. A four-year degree is required, with an advanced degree preferred.
