Rodale is seeking a Marketing Associate to work in our New York-based Marketing Department for Women’s Health. The overall goal of the Marketing Associate is to write merchandising proposals and manage program executions that will help attract, maintain and increase both print and digital advertising business across a variety of categories.
Responsibilities include: · Manage, coordinate and facilitate advertiser approvals on monthly in-book, online and Facebook promotional listings · Manage promotional twitter account and create dialogue with followers weekly/monthly · Act as legal liaison as it pertains to sweepstakes rules and internal questions · Write integrated merchandising proposals, marketing presentations and sales materials for category specific clients · Participate in brainstorming sessions with sales and account management teams to answer RFPs · Act as partner with sales reps to develop sales strategy and drive category growth · Spearhead the execution of all aspects of individual client programs (e.g. digital extensions, events, sponsorships, mailing, samplings, etc.) · Prepare program summaries upon completion of executed activities · Work within established budget guidelines and manage costs for all projects · Manage production schedules for projects and produce excellent work within a deadline-oriented department

Ideal candidate will possess: · College degree (required) · 1-2 years integrated industry or related experience · Positive attitude, solid work ethic, tenacious follow through · Close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment · High energy with strong written and verbal communication skills · Polished presentation skills · Awareness of current culture as it relates to the brands and relevant promotional opportunities · Ability to work independently and within a team setting · Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint and the Internet

Director of Sales Development – Everyday Health August 6, 2012

Everyday Health is looking for Director of Sales Development to create  and implement ad sales proposals and  initiatives from beginning to end. Responsibilities of projects include, but are not limited to:

· Execution of 7-Figure ad programs involving multiple interests, partners and product vendors

· Develop partnerships with health organizations for use in custom solutions (i.e. NHLBI, AHA, ADA, etc.)

· Develop sales materials, general presentations and collateral

· Execution of branding projects– day-to-day coordination with production companies

· Provide trade Marketing support (sponsorship materials, presentations, content development for trade events at OTC, DTC, ABC Moms, ePharma, Pivot)

· Create bi-monthly Advertiser Newsletter and other trade advertising efforts such as sweepstakes

  • BA degree with at least 8 years experience in Sales Development or Marketing, with background in Pharma marketing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and the ability to influence others through well articulated and innovative ideas
  • Superior writing  and proofreading skills
  • Adaptable person who can deal with rapidly changing requirements of an organization
  • Strong interpersonal & presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task while meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Accountability – acceptance of responsibility and willingness to commit to and deliver specific, measurable work products and results
  • Strong interest in the online industry
  • Ability to present to large groups
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint
