Job Description:
- Identify new advertising products: Identify Hearst needs and working with vendors to implement—or create—new solutions that meet advertising/marketing needs
- Implement new advertising products: Work with the vendor, marketing, advertising, production, editorial to make sure products are vetted, tested, and will perform
- Manage existing vendor relationships: Oversee pricing and legal review; update team regarding technology and staffing updates; field questions; report on best practices and case studies
- Know the marketplace: know what new technology is being implemented on competitor sites; know about new vendors and technology before the competition
- Create and maintain advertising product guidelines: Create a detailed and easy-to-follow set of requirements that explain how advertising products are implemented (who to work with, assets required, FAQs)
- Manage marketing requirements for editorial products: Take a seat at the table during site redesigns, and tool builds to determine how adverting/marketing can leverage the platform
- Know what works: Establish product performance metrics and success benchmarks for each metric
- Demonstrate new opportunities: Perform product demos to internal team & customers
- Be the go-to expert: Establish role cross-functionally as go-to resource for all new and existing ad products (e.g. what, where, how, how much, how often, etc)
