Job Description:
Reader’s Digest Community, which includes U.S. Reader’s Digest magazine and diverse Reader’s Digest-branded businesses, is looking for a senior level marketing professional with solid experience in developing integrated marketing programs and strategic partnerships that builds the value proposition of a brand among its advertising clients.

This position requires creative and strategic idea generation for advertising clients that builds on Reader’s Digest’s unique brand pillars and includes tactical elements across print, digital and experiential elements. This includes creating original and concise proposal copy, which is persuasive yet communicates multiple deliverables clearly.

Responsibilities include:

• Idea generation and creative proposal writing for a variety of categories
• Conception and development of new programs and partnerships
• Coordination and execution of special projects and promotions in a detailed and timely manner
• Development of sell sheets and other sales collateral
• Working with other members of Reader’s Digest Association to develop and explore cross-media advertising opportunities
• Participation in sales calls to bring programs and ideas to life for advertisers
• Work with Marketing Director to oversee and support other members of the Merchandising staff with regard to proposal creation and program execution

Qualifications:
Requires 3-5+ years of magazine marketing experience. Candidates must have a track record of formulating, writing and implementing idea-selling initiatives. Knowledge of the advertising sales process and experience presenting marketing programs with sales reps on calls is key. Attention to detail is necessary to manage multiple executions across platforms which include tight timelines, strict budgets, and working with clients to obtain approvals.
