New York-based Account Director at OK! Magazine:

This is an exciting opportunity at one of 2009’s most successful magazines. The advertising team at OK! delivered record growth in 2009 and completed the year as the #2 magazine out of 245 measured on PIB for year-over-year page growth. The Account Director will manage a wide range of active and developmental accounts-ranging from Beauty, Package Goods, Fashion, and have the opportunity to sell print and digital packages.

Required Skill-Set:
-A minimum of 3-5 years of national sales experience at a magazine, and some experience selling digital.
-Proven track-record which demonstrates ability to close business and negotiate successfully
-Highly organized, detail oriented with good computer skills.
-Highly motivated individual, hungry for business.
-History of working with clients and ad agencies on sales solutions and developing marketing partnership programs.
-Strong communication skills-from presenting to emailing.
-An entertainment and celebrity enthusiast.

Given the pace of a weekly and the corporate culture, are looking for an individual with high energy, a positive/can-do attitude, and the ability to work fast and furious. The ideal candidate will possess strong self confidence and a track record for closing business. Additionally, we are looking for someone that is very entrepreneurial, thinks like a marketer and is both creative and persuasive. Requires a minimum of sales calls per week, and ability to manage an extensive account list.
