Position Title: Promotions Coordinator

Location: New York City, New York

Reports Structure: The position reports to the Merchandising Director and Executive Director, Marketing.

Job Description:
• Promotion Coordinator Job Description (Associate Promotion Manager)
• Looking for a smart, can-do, creative, hard-working “idea person” to join our team as Promotion Coordinator.
• The ideal candidate will be able to work with our nationwide advertising sales staff, marketing team and creative services department, to write proposals, create in book and sales materials, execute programs and manage deadlines. Responsibilities include:
• Idea generation and proposal writing for a variety of categories
• Coordination and execution of merchandising programs- events, sweepstakes, in book advertorials- in a detailed manner
• Development of sell sheets and other sales collateral to effectively communicate program concepts and requirements
• Day-to-day management of core programs – monthly in book promotional page, marketing website, email blasts – which will require effective trafficking,
• Budget management
• Direct interaction with clients, sales staff, production, vendors, freelancers

Qualifications:
• Creative writer with ability to take direction and expand upon ideas
• Keen attention to detail
• Extremely comfortable in a deadline oriented role
• Team player with a “can-do” attitude
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with sales, marketing, clients, managers, art, corporate, and vendors in a collaborative way
• Ability to multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
• editing, proofing and fact-checking of materials including interaction with Accounts Payable on payment processes and billing status for department
• Sourcing and development of premium items and sales gifts
• Maintaining status report of projects
• Some travel, weekend and evening work required. Requires 2+ years of magazine or agency experience and proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Writing background a plus. The position reports to the Merchandising Director and Executive Director, Marketing.
