If so, your opportunity has come with the open position of Manager, Business Research and Insights for Time, Inc.’s InStyle and Entertainment Weekly brands – the leading and most trusted and authoritative style and entertainment magazine brands in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide consulting support to clients, leveraging brand research and insights knowledge, business research information and prior experiences.
2. Act as the trends and insights specialist for the entertainment, media, and fashion categories for Time Inc – key categories for the company.
3. Work closely with marketing and sales at the brands to develop daily analysis, packaging, and presentation of various syndicated research data into smart, compelling sales stories.
4. Manage the aggregation and sharing of research learning across categories and/or brand.
5. Communicate, collaborate, and cross-pollinate with the corresponding brand team within Consumer Research & Insights (CRI) and the brand.
6. Develop and evaluate staff.
7. Manage special projects.

Reporting Relationship
Reports to Director, Time Inc. Business Research & Insights

Skills & Experience
Position requires strong analytic and project management skills. Must be able to direct and organize information flow, prioritize projects and provide direction to team members. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, an understanding of Publishing, Advertising, Media and Digital functions, and knowledge of ad sales and advertising/media research across multiple platforms is important. Excellent presentation and writing skills; ability for innovative and creative thinking; ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is required.

Research Manager will have at least 7 years advertising/media-based experience. Prior experience should also include employment at an advertising agency, advertiser or media company. A four-year degree is required; MBA helpful.
