Sr. Merchandising Manager at Seventeen!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The below are principally associated with Fashion & Retail clients

Brainstorms added value ideas and writes proposals for Fashion & Retail accounts (and other categories as required)
Develops ideas for new, multi-advertiser programs, including developing budgets, writing sell sheets, etc.
Attends sales calls to present above-referenced programs to clients and agencies
Captains execution of ongoing, multi-advertiser programs (e.g., 17U)
Works with Seventeen’s Editorial Fashion Department to translate trends for client fashion show merchandise selection
Travels extensively nationwide to host Seventeen events on-stage, overseeing all on-site event details
Makes media appearances representing Seventeen and clients
Manages day-to-day requests from Sales Staff (client history, proposal revisions, photo/documentation presentations, etc.).
Captains execution of high-profile/high-revenue clients (e.g., Macy’s, JCPenney, Nike, Nordstrom, etc.)
Trains Merchandising Associate on event planning, budgeting, hosting, etc.
Handles all aspects of Shop-n-Style signature BTS program, including national print elements, day-of client events, concert, budget, etc.
Plans photo shoots for custom creative units
Stays current on potential event talent and negotiates all talent contracts
Assists Associate Publisher/Marketing in managing department workflow while Fashion Merchandising Director is on Maternity Leave
Manages project budgets and timelines
Strong communications skills (writing and presenting), with the ability engage/excite a crowd when on-stage
Extremely creative and quick to generate ideas
Clear understanding of and affinity for Teen market
Must work well under time pressures, be organized and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Fluency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint; familiarity with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
