MAXIM is seeking college interns for Fall 2010. Candidates should be full-time students with a concentration in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Media, or Communications, but open to other concentrations. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and must be able to multi-task, with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Providing overall administrative support for the marketing and/or sales department
• Attending brainstorming sessions to help come up with ideas to generate ad sales
• Assisting with event projects: may include working local events (if any), guest lists, invitations, premiums and other sponsor activations
• Handling outgoing/incoming shipments and other advertiser-related mailing projects
• Formatting presentations and/or proposals on case-by-case basis
• Updating sell sheets and presentations with new research or other specified information
• Researching potential marketing programs and promotional concepts
• Assisting with sponsor sweepstakes and contests
• Assisting the art department with presentation recaps, binding and creative mockups
• Working on other miscellaneous projects that may arise

Requirements:
• Open to working five days a week (minimum 3-days a week)
• Strong work ethic
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; equally strong listening skills
• Capable of working well autonomously
• Work for academic credit only
