Job Summary/Responsibilities

• Management of day-today RFP and merchandising proposal writing and idea generation for PIB categories as assigned by Marketing Director.

• Create, develop and manage merchandising opportunities such as advertorials, sweepstakes, marketing partnerships, events, online programs, etc.

• Write copy, and work closely with the art department in developing sales materials, media kit materials, and added-value promotional concepts.

• Work with Senior Promotion Manager and Marketing Director to develop strategic marketing alliances to drive sales and revenue.

• Apply knowledge of syndicated research to sales category analysis and development.

• Work on event marketing initiatives when needed.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

– Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop customer-focused merchandising and added value programs.

– Prior experience in all aspects of merchandising, and sales promotion.

– Excellent written and oral communication skills.

– Marketing, research and event planning experience an added plus.

– Strong promotional copy writing skills a must. Ability to work well with sales staff, marketing staff, clients, outside vendors and other internal departments.

– Ability to consistently meet simultaneous deadlines.

– Highly organized and creative team player.
