Drive product vision, strategy and execution for RealSimple.com, in close collaboration with the site General Manager, Site Content Director and other key stakeholders of the business. A strong Product Manager will be capable of communicating product specifications visually or written in the form of annotated wireframes or detail functional specification and capable of integrating various ideas from all stakeholders into a cohesive product(s) and requests.

Duties/Responsibilities:

•Works closely with Business, Editorial, Sales and Audience Development to originate and develop product strategies and user experiences that achieve business goals and strategy
•Prioritizes product initiatives into an executable roadmap and sequences initiatives based on business strategy, impact and user experience
•Documents and defines product requirements and interactions that development can clearly execute from
•Collaborates with teams across the Time Inc organization and serve as the main point of contact with the dedicated Digital Solutions, Development, QA and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution against product plans
•Develop project schedules with IT Project Management team; communicate status and schedule to all stakeholders within the project
•Trouble shoot issues that arise in production; escalate to appropriate parties for resolution
•Monitors competitive trends and tracks feature/functionality of competitive set
•Uses analytical tools, and consumer feedback to refine offerings and drive new features/functionality
•Drives improvements in the productdevelopment process
•Process oriented; with experience in an agile development process
•Manage Freelance or Consultant Designers, UX or Project Managers to ensure standards and deadlines are meet according to project definition
•Assesses industry developments to keep ahead of the competition and build innovative experiences that synthesize user and business requirements.
•Evaluate technologies

Ideal candidates will have:

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•7 to 10 years of consumer facing web experience, functioning in the product or equivalent role
•Excellent communication skills (spoken and written), and willingness to work in a team environment
•Strong Project Management skills
•Ability to think strategically at the same time focus on the most in-depth detail that makes a product go from good to great.
•Self motivator with a positive can do attitude who works independently without significant oversight
•Strong Technology Knowledge a must.
