The Atlantic is seeking a self-directed, forward-thinking, maternity fill-in at the Marketing Director level to serve in a consulting and supporting capacity. This position will work with the current marketing team to create and execute integrated programs, sales and marketing materials (sell sheets, presentations, etc.) and customized client marketing programs.

Responsibilities Include:

· Conceptualize and develop added-value and revenue generating programs including multi-platform marketing programs, promotional partnerships, customized digital and print content, and events

• Collaborate with sales staff to design and customize client-specific presentations
• Present existing marketing programs and customized concepts at client meetings and on calls with the sales staff, as required
• Manage, analyze and package research data to support and augment advertising sales, document print and digital advertising effectiveness and provide strategic marketing research insights
• Work closely with the management team to develop sales strategies for key areas of business
• Conceive and execute branding events in New York City and outer markets

Qualifications Include:

• Ability to work closely and cooperatively with a variety of internal constituencies, as well as interface with clients and other external colleagues (e.g., vendors, agency contacts, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to craft persuasive arguments both verbally and in writing
• Strong analytics and strategic thinking; ability to understand and use relevant research data about our enterprise and audience
• Experience working in a fully integrated media environment
• Graphic and web design skills and experience with design software (such as InDesign) a strong plus
• Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
