If you are an innovative direct marketer, this key role in the fast-paced and innovative environment of the Style and Entertainment Group may be for you. The Marketing Manager, Subscriber Acquisitions will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to grow new subscriptions generated for iconic magazine brands, InStyle, Entertainment Weekly, Essence and People en Espanol across offline and online channels, including direct mail, brand websites, paid media, and email. A unique opportunity to own your own business, pitch your best ideas to senior management, and see those ideas realized. A two-person staff of experienced marketers will support you in your mission.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and execute on marketing plans across multiple channels that align with brand and corporate goals: develop offers and pricing, list/promotion/media plans and marketing creatives
Analyze marketing and business results to identify opportunities for growth and develop recommendations
Increase subscriber acquisition via online vehicles by working closely with brand Web teams; formulate plans to grow paid search and email
Manage 2-person team to maximize response and profitability for all acquisition channels
Develop and maintain budgets, including monthly financial reconciliations
Innovate, innovate, innovate!
Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

Strategic and creative thinker
4+ years of consumer/direct marketing experience
Prior management experience
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task several priorities with strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across diverse business and editorial groups
Ability to draw stories from data, and use that data to formulate marketing strategies
Self starter with high level of initiative
Must be extremely proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
Passionate about media and the Style and Entertainment Group brands
