SELF offers a junior to mid level Merchandising Associate/Manager an excellent opportunity to become a category specialist on the merchandising team for an iconic brand on all its platforms-print, online and mobile. This position offers Merchandising Associate/Manager the opportunity to own programs and projects from creative ideation to proposal to presentation to execution to recap. Merchandising Associate/Manager will have an opportunity to work on a variety of category proposals, but will also become a category specialist. SELF’s Creative Services Department has a clear management and reporting structure that will offer Merchandising Associate/Manager opportunities for growth and career advancement.



Reports into: Merchandising Director and Associate Merchandising Director



Primary Responsibilities:

· Work with merchandising and sales team to strategize, create and write merchandising proposals for target accounts

· Manage and oversee the execution of custom advertiser merchandising programs from beginning to end. This could include:

· Custom retail events

· In-book advertising sections

· Online executions

· Consumer sweepstakes

· Advertiser activation within signature events

· Attend sales calls with sales staff to present promotional/merchandising programs.

· Manage budgets related to promotional/merchandising programs.

· Oversee development and production of merchandising-related collateral



Must have:

Strong project management skills

Strong writing and creative thinking abilities

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Presentation skills a must, training will be provided to excel

Some experience managing budgets

Some managerial experience good, not mandatory
