The Associate Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing integrated marketing strategies, promotions, and programs for Working Mother magazine and workingmother.com.  The Marketing Manager will also support the Associate Marketing Directors in responding to RFPs and developing integrated proposals. This position includes extensive participation in social media strategy and implementation, supporting web site management and email promotions in addition to executing and developing integrated proposals.
Responsibilities:

• Execute in-book and online programs based on written proposals. Manage all aspects of program execution including but not limited to: advertorials, sweepstakes, sampling, web-based programs, digital applications, mobile, events
• Write integrated marketing proposals, presentations and advertorials
• Coordinate and participate in internal brainstorm/strategy meetings
• Work with digital ad ops to ensure execution of online programs
• Competitive analyses
• Create and manage detailed timelines
• Produce presentations and program re-caps to highlight marketing capabilities
• Manage budgets for programs, special events and projects as assigned
• Work with department to create and implement social media strategy
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree,  1 – 3+ years marketing experience at a magazine
• Candidate must be an enthusiastic, energetic, creative thinker and team player in a deadline-driven environment
• A solid skill set of writing, editing, idea creation and organization is essential
• Must be resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written, verbal and organizational skills
• Knowledge of and passion for tracking trends including social networking, digital and mobile
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple detailed projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, and Excel are required
