Integrated Marketing Manager – Essence October 5, 2011
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and write integrated marketing and digital only proposals in response to advertiser RFPs
- Collaborate with sales team and cross departments (digital, events and creative services) to ideate and develop “big idea” concepts for advertisers
- Attend client calls with sales team to present marketing concepts
- Execute advertiser marketing programs (i.e. advertorials, events, retail promotions, gift-with-purchase/sweepstakes, sampling programs, mailings, etc.)
- Provide sponsor management support for signature ESSENCE events
- Manage budgets for program executions
REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum 4+ years publishing experience required.
· Strong skill set in writing, conceptualizing, idea creation, organization and communication
· Understanding of the online advertising space and social media is important
· Candidates must have a balance of strategic and creative ability, strong interpersonal and client skills and be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for PC.
