Group Commerce Overview:

Group Commerce‘s mission is to enable audience owners to succeed in e-commerce. Audience owners

include email/web/print publishers, celebrities, affinity groups and anyone who has a large engaged audience to

whom they could make product and service offers. Group Commerce’s solution helps audience owners to

generate incremental revenue streams, while deepening audience engagement.

Group Commerce’s initial goal is to build the industry’s best white-label solution to powers group-buying and

social commerce deals for large publishers. The solution includes a web-based technology platform,

merchandising strategy, merchant offer sourcing and management, email integration, payment gateway and

administration and marketing strategy.

Since its inception in 2010, Group Commerce’s solution has been successfully sold to and deployed at leading online publishers, including Daily Candy, The New York Times, Meredith Publishing, and Thrillist, among others.

Position Scope:

Our Account Executives are the tastemakers in their cities, shaping the way we eat, listen, drink, dress and more. They are armed with knowledge and relationships to handpick the best experiences in town – from undiscovered restaurants to the most chic spas and celebrated salons to hard-to-get concert tickets.

As part of the Group Commerce Merchant Sales team, you’ll be representing our prestigious publisher clientele in the marketplace, seeking the right merchants and offers for their audience, and thereby delivering a more qualified customer to the merchant.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and cultivate leads for Group Commerce Offers using a variety of online and offline sources

· Develop and maintain relationships with local merchants

· Will equally divide your time between phone and face-to-face sales activities

· Communicate the value proposition to merchants and generate compelling offers from qualified prospects

· Independently conceive, pitch and close relationships with merchants with differing and sophisticated needs

· Meet individual quarterly and annual sales goals

· Communicate ongoing contact and sales activities utilizing Salesforce.com

· Maintain a stellar attitude and team atmosphere

Skills/Requirements:

· Minimum of 3 years of sales experience is required. Online advertising, direct marketing, local advertising or pharmaceutical sales are a plus

· Experience canvassing and cold-calling into various types of local businesses, with evidence of consistent and current success

· Must love the idea of working for a high-energy startup

· Demonstrate top-notch communication and presentation skills with the ability to sell at all decision-making levels

· Exhibit self-motivation, flexibility and adaptability to new situations

· Confident and comfortable negotiator

· Strong written and verbal communicator
