Executive Director, Integrated Marketing – Cooking Light January 5, 2012
Cooking Light is looking for an exceptional leader to manage the integrated marketing team and contribute to the sales and marketing strategy for the brand. The position combines creative “big” idea/platform creation, partnership development, presentation skills and program execution to leverage all assets of the Cooking Light brand and grow print and digital advertising revenue. The Executive Director must be an enthusiastic creative thinker and team player who is resourceful, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
– Developing and overseeing strategic integrated marketing platforms with measurable engagement and ROI metrics for the brand (e.g. signature events, retail partnerships, social media promotion, custom solutions, etc.)
– Working directly with the print and digital sales and marketing staffs to manage the overall process and best practices for all client-directed proposals and presentations
– Collaborating with colleagues across all disciplines to leverage the Cooking Light brand as a vital media partner and generate incremental advertising revenue
– Elevating the presentations and proposals developed by the Integrated Marketing team to clearly and concisely communicate the unique attributes and benefits of the Cooking Light brand and its marketing capabilities
– Leading, motivating and supporting a dynamic team of marketers
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, smart, strategic, flexible, organized, creative partner who has:
– A minimum of 10+ years marketing experience, preferably in magazine sales/marketing including a minimum of 4+ years digital media marketing experience (experience in epicurean category a plus)
– Strong management and leadership skills including a collaborative approach to partnering with the sales and editorial teams, team members, advertising clients and vendors
– Exceptional proposal writing and presentation skills with extensive background generating multi-platform, integrated programs
– A comprehensive knowledge of various online advertising platforms, creative executions, and ad serving technologies
– A strong desire to work in a highly-collaborative atmosphere, yet be comfortable taking the lead on projects and giving direction to a team, where appropriate
– A bachelor’s degree
