The Hearst Magazines’ Sales Training Program application is posted!!!!  Please click on the link pasted below, (or go online to hearstcareers.silkroad.com OR go to Hearst.com, click on magazines, and then Hearst Magazines Career Site—) and look at the sales training program tab at the top of the page.  It has the essay question and the short answer questions.  You should prepare that all first before starting the application.  (You can do that now, perhaps!)

Although the application won’t be due until the end of February, please try to get it in earlier as the interview process will start sooner the quicker you apply.  If you are not interested, please pass this around to anyone that was born to sell!  The application process will be closed by February 24th.  Apply sooner rather than later as our interviews happen on a rolling basis!  Sooner we get your application, the sooner we will be in touch!

More about the program:

Sales Training Program

Hearst Magazines’ 2012 – 2013 Sales Training Program begins June 2012. This intensive 12-month program is designed to develop the next generation of sales leaders. Our goal is to attract the best new talent and give them the opportunity to grow personally and professionally while also growing our business.

The purpose of the Sales Training Program is to prepare recent college graduates for a successful career within Hearst Magazines. As part of a small group, trainees will learn the aspects of selling advertising on a variety of platforms (print, online, tablet, etc.).

Those who are accepted into the Program will be developed through a combination of on-the-job training at one of our consumer brands, mentoring, workshops, job shadowing, performance feedback and exposure to senior management. As trainees progress, they will be assigned accounts and will be given the opportunity to put their sales training into practice. Successful graduates of this 12-month program will have the opportunity to be promoted to Account Managers and to continue to grow at Hearst Magazines.

We are seeking college graduates who are driven, have strong academic performance, a history of leadership activities, an aptitude for sales and a demonstrated interest in print and digital media. An undergraduate degree by June 2012 is required.

Applications must be submitted by February 24, 2012.

The 2012 – 2013 Program begins in June. Please apply using the link above!
