SHAPE is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Account Manager, Digital Sales to join our ad sales team. The Account Manager, Digital Sales will work with existing accounts and identify new prospects to grow online-specific revenue for Shape.com. Additionally, this role will work in partnership with the Integrated Sales & Marketing teams to transition print-only accounts to the web.
The Account Manager, Digital Sales will work independently in the area of online sales and proposal creation. They will help identify online-only opportunities to support revenue generation.
Working directly with online agencies & clients, the Account Manager, Digital Sales will provide marketing and media information to generate advertising sales. They will keep the management team abreast of all significant developments affecting clients, categories and overall revenue.
Responsibilities include:
* Manage and develop assigned accounts within territory.
* Maintain and increase ad revenues.
* Work with print sales team, marketing and research to achieve goals.
* Anticipate planning period on accounts and position Shape.com for revenue growth.
* Promote and increase the awareness of Shape.com via consistent/culturally relevant events, presentations, sales calls and written communications to clients.
* Initiate and maintain contact with all media decision-makers (both agency and client).
* Establish contact through sales calls, phone contacts and public relations.
* Stay abreast of diverse client developments in terms of people, products and media executions.
* Provide administrative backup to service account list and assigned categories.
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree with a minimum of 2-5 years experience in advertising or media sales.
* Digital Ad Sales experience.
* Knowledge of media buying process and client and agency infrastructure.
* Knowledge of multi-industry developments concerning contacts, companies, and products.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated success in client management with existing roster of client and agency contacts.
* Ability to skillfully manage a large volume of accounts, RFPs, and simultaneous projects and requests.
Base Salary plus Commission (base salary commensurate with experience)
