The marketing department is currently recruiting an Assistant Marketing Manager to work within the marketing team responsible for academic and society journals. This position will be responsible for promotional activities and marketing communications to defined scientific and clinical communities to achieve strategic goals for assigned portfolios of NPG products and services.

The Assistant Marketing Manager will
participate in journal development meetings, prepare yearly marketing plans to achieve yearly goals as identified, provide production and analysis of campaign promotion results, produce mid year and end of year marketing reports, manage campaign promotional budgets (when applicable), and represent the marketing department at key exhibitions around the world.
The right candidate will initiate, develop and test a range of marketing communications tools including social media and others as needed, including The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive online usage and readership, promote content, brand marketing, encourage registration for electronic products and services, generate submissions, promote the benefits of NPG’s open access opportunities to authors, and support site license sales through customer communications and generation of leads.
The Assistant Marketing Manager will work closely with marketing and sales team to ensure that product positioning and promotional plans are compatible with departmental objectives and NPG wide strategic mission, and other marketing and publishing colleagues to ensure that resources are maximized, support is given when required, and information is freely shared.
Professional and personal requirements:
The ideal candidate will have an awareness of global marketing trends and techniques and a commitment to developing marketing best practice, as well as a solid understanding of marketing principles and implementation across multimedia channels (social media, e-campaigns, SEO, mobile).  Knowledge of managed products and associated communities is preferred, with a proven track record of professional achievements and development.
Skills:

· articulate written and verbal communication skills
Experience:
· 3+ years marketing experience, preferably in an STM environment.
