Graphic Designer
PureWow is seeking a full-time junior graphic designer with a minimum of one year professional design experience (at a publishing brand, agency or a similar work environment) to join our New York City staff.
You will work closely with all departments at PureWow — marketing, sales, editorial and operations — to ensure compelling creative solutions align with strategic communication objections for digital marketing campaigns. You thrive in a collaborative environment, actively participate in creative discussions and deliver exceptional design work.
You must be a self-starter, capable of working autonomously and taking the lead on multiple design projects at once, while also collaborating with a team and maintaining strong lines of communication internally.
Responsibilities may include the following:
• Help lead in the creative development of all assigned projects from concept to completion
• Assist the marketing director in redesigning email templates, site widgets and structure, and general marketing collateral (including house ads, landing pages and social media banners)
• Assist the sales team (and clients) in conceptualizing, designing, and securing approval of deadline-driven sales proposals, custom advertising campaigns, media kits, event invitations, collateral materials, and client reports Design and execute creative for high-profile partnerships with multiple brand partners
• Continue to develop the PureWow brand from a visual perspective
Qualifications:
• College degree and minimum 1 year work experience
• Portfolio demonstrating clean, modern design and branding capabilities
• Ability to work well and fast across a broad range of responsibilities in a collaborative team-based environment
• Proficiency needed in all industry-standard design applications, particularly Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
• Passion for design, strong typographical skills, and attention to detail are a must
• Experience with Final Cut Pro and other video editing software a plus
