Representing a diverse portfolio of products and platforms including PEOPLE.com, PEOPLEStyleWatch.com, PEOPLEPets.com, PEOPLE TV, mobile, iPhone and social media platforms, the PEOPLE Digital Marketing Team – in partnership with Integrated Marketing – brings these products to life in unique, engaging and custom ways for advertising partners and consumers alike.

The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing plays an integral role in developing the sales, marketing and promotion strategies while collaborating with sales on select advertising categories. The position combines creative “big” idea/platform creation, partnership development, pre and post-sale management of custom solutions in conjunction with integrated marketing.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Idea generation and program development: Work with sales and marketing colleagues to develop custom digital and integrated opportunities across digital, mobile and tablet. At times leveraging print, event, retail and more to maximize advertising partnerships
• Editorial Contact: Serve as secondary liaison with edit, product and legal teams for pre-sale approvals on custom solutions
• Product Marketing: Serve as product marketing expert for assigned new products and specials that could include Red Carpet, Hottest Bodies, Sexiest Man Alive and more.
• Presentation Writing: Work with multiple departments (i.e. strategic research, creative services and outside vendors) to create compelling proposals, presentations, marketing concepts and/or positioning
• Program Management: Responsible for managing all aspects of assigned category and custom marketing programs, from conception through implementation
• Category development: Support the Digital Marketing Senior Director in the development of category-specific strategies including competitive landscape/sales opportunities
• Industry Expertise: Support the Digital Marketing Senior Director in keeping an eye on the industry and how what other companies are doing could benefit our offerings across competitive landscape/sales opportunities
• Client Meetings: Accompany sales reps and/or marketing management on sales calls to present marketing platforms and client-specific opportunities
• Management: Oversee and manage Digital Marketing Associate

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, minimum 9-10 years marketing experience, preferably in media/advertising. Digital experience required.
• Team player, self-starter who is also extremely innovative, professional and resourceful
• Must have strong creative skills and extensive experience in developing compelling digital marketing programs
• Knowledge of advertising sales, digital media and related research(@Plan, ComScore etc.)
• Strong writing skills required
