Southern Living and Coastal Living are looking for a Digital Sales Development Manager to:
– Develop and implement short- and long-term digital sales and marketing strategy for SouthernLiving.com and CoastalLiving.com
– Collaborate and brainstorm with the integrated marketing teams on proposals and presentations
– Manage pre and post-sale process, including writing proposals, managing media plans and working with third-party vendors and Ad Operations
– Work with management on revenue planning, development and pricing
– Partner with editorial team to create and package sponsorship opportunities
– Observe marketplace trends in social media, rich media, mobile, video, etc. and liaise with Product Development to incorporate new product offerings for each site
– Act as a thought leader, attending industry events and sharing trends with the sales and marketing teams
– Attend and present at client meetings
– Travel to Birmingham quarterly
– Manage one direct report

Qualifications:
– Minimum 4-5 years’ experience within digital, publishing and/or agency
– Creative, strategic and flexible thinker who works well both in a group and independently
– Superior written, verbal, time management and organizational skills
– Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have working knowledge of online metrics and research tools (e.g., comScore, @plan, Omniture)
– Previous management experience a plus
