Marketing Manager: Freelance – Ivy League Magazine Network (part-time from home) September 17, 2013

The Ivy League Magazine Network, made up of nine premier alumni magazines with an audience of over 1.2 million highly educated influential and affluent consumers, seeks an experienced marketing professional to handle all of their marketing and promotional needs. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing. The position is approximately half time, requires working from the home or independent work space, and has flexible hours but requires good accessibility.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning/executing custom programs that include events and promotions and advertorials
  • Responding to advertiser RFPs with unique and actionable marketing program ideas across all categories
  • Creating sales presentations
  • Develop relationships with third party organizations and vendors to enhance arsenal of integrated marketing offerings
  • Write/produce all sales and promotional materials including general presentation, media kit, sell sheets, monthly e-newsletter, mailings and brand video

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • 8+ years of magazine marketing experience
  • Exceptional proposal writing and presentation skills?(with ability to incorporate research information)
  • Experience planning and executing events
  • Web Marketing skills-knowledge of digital and social media, basic website admin, list management, etc.
  • Basic layout and design skills a plus (familiarity with InDesign program)
  • Organization, creativity and ability to communicate clearly and enthusiastically with sales staff, team members, advertising clients and vendors
