Playboy is seeking a Graphic Designer to support the Ad Sales department.

 

Responsibilities include development of marketing/sales material including client presentations and advertising projects. The candidate must have the ability to adhere to the brand’s style guidelines and design aesthetic, multitask and remain organized on multiple deadlines.

 

Responsibilities vary from the following, while working closely with and taking some art direction from team members to fulfill day-to-day requests:

 

–       Apply typography and layout skills to design various materials including advertorials, print ads, presentations, invitations and programs, creatively using original or provided brand imagery and assets

–       Concept, create and pull inspirational imagery to form inspiration guides for clients

–               Participate in design needs for advertising campaigns that require web banners (animated and static), skins, or content layout for use on email templates, websites and social media channels

 

Experience Preferred

  • B.A. or B.F.A. in Graphic Design
  • 3+ years’ experience in related field

 

Skills and Traits Required

  • Advanced computer skills and graphic design production skills and proficiency in the use of latest design software: Adobe Creative Suite: advanced knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, web standards and related best practices
  • Self-starter, enthusiastic, organized, detail and deadline oriented, team player attitude
  • Drawing, sketching and fine art skills / experience a plus
  • Physical mock-up skills required (faux covers, gatefolds, other high-impact units)
  • Video editing skills a plus
  • Experience in using data visualization and information architecture to convey thoughts and ideas
  • Proficiency in print design capabilities a must
  • In-depth knowledge of design principles and techniques
  • Ability to think creatively and conceptually
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects on deadline
  • Ability to work calmly and maintain high standards under pressure and in the face of time constraints
  • Ability to approach projects with flexibility and resourcefulness
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people at high levels within the organization and present a point of view on how to bring ideas to life visually
  • Extreme attention to detail and high-end design
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
