Marketing Manager – Medical Marketing and Pharmaceutical Industry Focus January 21, 2016

Healthcasts is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Marketing Manager to join our team.  The Marketing Manager is responsible for working with the Senior Director, Sales Development and Marketing to support the company’s marketing strategy as we try to reach physician members as well as advertisers and pharmaceutical brand partners as follows:

Brand Development/Management

  • Ensure all non-digital content and digital content is in line with brand objectives and marketing plan (i.e. editing/copywriting for consistency).
  • Responsible for all marketing communications including web content, newsletters, collateral and press releases.
  • Manage redesign of B to B website and quarterly promotional initiatives

Marketing Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Co-development and optimization of the marketing plan – in charge of continuing development and execution of overall strategic marketing plan and corresponding tactics.  
  • Drive member engagement and partner acquisition using traditional and non-traditional online channels, using a mix of paid and earned tactics
  • Manage B to B advertising communication strategy and execution including whitepapers, releases and advertising
  • Manage the marketing budget and work with management team to determine customer lifetime value
  • Develop Marketing Activities Calendar/Plan taking into account community needs and product direction.
  • Act as a liaison between marketing and other internal teams including production, creative/QA/Member Services departments to ensure the marketing team and internal groups are all on the same pages, at all times working towards marketing program goals
  • Design, implement, and test integrated online and offline marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Identify alternative, effective marketing partners to help achieve marketing goals and member growth.
  • Assist with PR efforts; manage award submission process and strategy

Sales Marketing & Trade Marketing

  • Work with Senior Director and Sales Marketing Coordinator to assist with research for sales & marketing materials as needed; assist sales marketing efforts by compiling and updating research information for one sheets, presentations and other materials
  • Develop tradeshow and event plan for Healthcasts brand exposure

    • Manage all local and regional trade events including signage, one sheets, premiums, attendance/staffing, shipping and fulfillment
  • Execute local/regional marketing initiatives including researching vendors, coordinating production and project management

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree required. Emphasis in marketing, communications or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of marketing or commensurate experience; with clear demonstrated experience in the Health vertical. (Would consider part-time candidates as well if commensurate with experience)
  • Prior experience with Health brands and/or Pharma A MAJOR PLUS.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic areas and medical specialties
  • Strong understanding of current web and mobile standards and technologies
  • Strategic thinking to balance and prioritize short-term solutions with long-term vision
  • Excellent oral communication, written communication and analytical skills.
  • Detail –oriented.
  • Thorough experience with Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook is needed.
