O, the Oprah Magazine is looking for an Associate Integrated Marketing Manager with 1-2 years of experience in a magazine sales/marketing department with exposure to/experience with answering RFPs, added value proposals/programs, client communications, events, among other things. Some of the key responsibilities are listed below:
· Work with sales reps across different categories to fulfill all promotional needs and requests.
· Write standard and customized merchandising proposals based on advertiser objectives as assigned; execute programs based on written proposals.
· Contribute to the development of multi-advertiser issue/category/themed added value programs and execute programs as assigned.
· Support execution of magazine events, including annual signature event(s), sales meeting and others as assigned
o Regularly provide creative ideas for events and programs, client gifts and entertainment and magazine editorial tie-ins
o Manage budgets for programs, special events and projects as assigned

Position Summary

Provides day-to-day marketing support for the integrated marketing team which includes producing proposals, presentations, custom integrated ideas, sales development and sold program implementation.  A key part of the job will be to work collaboratively with sales, marketing research and creative services.

Responsibilities + Tasks

· Write and help develop multimedia, as well as individual media and property, proposals with the goal of driving revenue

· Responsible for custom responses for RFPs (Request for Proposals) under tight deadlines with positioning and added value

· Support marketing category leads develop category-specific opportunities and sales collateral

· Responsible for all added value implementation, budget management and ongoing analysis

Complexity

· Strategic thinker who understands clients’ objectives and how to marry them with AARP Media Sales’ assets and audience

· Manage many projects concurrently with strong project management skills

· Ability to succinctly articulate ideas, storytelling and write extremely well

· Work independently, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and budget constraints

· Work to maximize resources

Requirements

Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline required and 2-4 years of major media advertising or an equivalent combination of training and experience in advertising media—print, digital, broadcast preferred. High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, technologically savvy, good communication skills, and can do attitude.
