ESSENCE magazine is looking for a Senior Integrated Marketing Manager for the Beauty category, reporting in to the Senior Director of Marketing. Ideal candidate must have a balance of strategic and creative ability, is a team player, and thrives working in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple projects with ease.

Responsibilities include:
• Conceptualize and develop multiplatform proposals that include print, digital, events, mobile/social and more based on client objective
• Execute integrated marketing programs including advertorials, sweepstakes, contests, online integration, events, etc. includes managing budgets, overall execution, timelines and generating post-program recaps
• Provide sponsor management support for signature ESSENCE events
• Knowledge of standard media research such as MRI
• Explore partnership opportunities for beauty category
• Accompany sales team on clients calls to present marketing platforms

Qualifications:
In addition, candidate must be well versed in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and have strong copywriting, storytelling and proofreading skills. Ideal candidate has a minimum of 5+ years of marketing experience.

Prevention Magazine and Prevention.com, part of Rodale, Inc., is looking for a smart, dynamic, strategic, creative thinker to join our Marketing team in our New York office and hit the ground running!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage RFP process across select categories from ideation through execution and provide client-ready responses to successfully support the sales team and win business across all Prevention properties
  • Ideation and writing of proactive proposals, programs  and presentations articulating Prevention’s unique value and brand DNA   
  • Work with sales and marketing counterparts to build signature programs, strategic partnerships and competitive added value opportunities for clients to increase visibility, revenue and client base for the Prevention brand
  • Project manage and execute sold programs across all media including print, digital, mobile, social and event platforms, working with internal departments and outside vendors to achieve successful outcomes.  Manage individual budgets.  
  • Develop relationships with third party organizations and vendors to enhance arsenal of integrated marketing offerings
  • Write and develop sales support collateral such as sell sheets, media kit materials,  recaps, comps, etc.
  • Responsible for management of select Prevention marketing programs such as in-book and online promotional listings, cover stickers, category related programs, etc.


Requirements:

  • Min. 2-3 years of advertising/marketing experience, preferably in media/advertising
  • Candidate must have strong balance of strategic and creative skills and experience in developing and executing compelling integrated marketing programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly pro-active and solution-oriented, a team player and self-starter with strong interpersonal and client skills
  • Detailed oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast- paced, high-volume work environment
  • Working knowledge of digital highly recommended: from web advertising units/capabilities to implementation of digital marketing concepts, knowledge and comfort with social media platforms, apps, and tablet platforms for media/publishing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • BA/BS required
