Reporting to the CMO, the graphic designer will be a part
of our marketing department. The candidate should have a strong graphic design portfolio that demonstrates a sophisticated sense of typography and layout structure:

Associate Marketing Manager temp – Prevention

Prevention is seeking an Associate Marketing Manager temp to work in the New York city office. This individal will be responsible for writing marketing proposals for Prevention magazine and prevention.com in response to RFPs, developing big ideas to secure advertising, and establishing, executing and managing all programs and opportunities that bring added value to a proposal.  For example, establishing in-store opportunities on the grocery, retail, pharmacy level, maintenance of existing programs such as Prevention Portfolio inbook and digital programs, issue promotions, eblast/enewsletter management , etc.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work one-on-one with clients in securing materials and approvals for  in-book and online added value
  • Comprehensive tracking of added value programs, sell sheets and  marketing promotional tools
  • Fulfill reader and client contest and sweepstakes
  • Order issues monthly for advertising/promotion events and  mailings
  • Write collateral sheets and sell sheets as needed
  • Working with the marketing managers on other marketing projects,  including researching some projects
  • Assistance with the creation and execution of promotional  mailings
  • Occasionally assist in event planning and execution of client and  corporate/trade events
  • Also responsible for seeking out creative and innovative advertiser  premiums/gifts and promotional items and the ordering and stocking of these  items and supplies

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent writing, organizational and people skills  required
  • Strong project management skills working under tight deadlines, across  multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team
  • Must be a creative, strategic thinker with an upbeat, positive attitude  and hands-on, roll-up your sleeves, willing to pitch-in, problem-solving  approach

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, advertising, creative writing
• Requires 2-5 years experience in media/publishing/advertising
• Experience with 360 degree integrated digital and print opportunities a big plus
• Strong MS Office skills especially in PowerPoint
• Some knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite/InDesign/Photoshop a plus

Overview/Purpose

Associate Marketing Director, Bon Appétit Marketing is responsible for brand management, strategic marketing and sales development.
